Important Dates

Here are some important dates to put on your calendar:

  • March 13, 2020: This is the last day you can change your political party affiliation. Cornel strongly objects to voters using this option to game the system. Align yourself with a party and stick to it.
  • April 3, 2020: The County Clerk begins mailing out absentee ballots to those who have requested them.
  • April 24, 2020: Voter registrations for the May 19th primary must be in the county clerks office. If you miss it, no worries, you can register at the polls.
  • May 4, 2020: You can vote early between May 4 and 15 at the county elections office.
  • May 8, 2020: If you’re going to vote absentee, your application must be in to the county clerk by 5 p.m. for the May 19 primary.
  • May 15, 2020: In-Person absentee or early voting ends. You must have your ballots in to the county elections office by 5:00 p.m.
  • May 19, 2020: Election Day.

Legislative District 7 (Idaho, Clearwater, Shoshone, and part of Bonner Counties) Incumbents are Senator Carl Crabtree, Representative Priscilla Giddings, and Paul Shepherd (retiring) so – Charlie Shepherd OR Cornel Rasor

Legislative District 1 (All of Boundary and most of Bonner Counties) incumbents are Senator Jim Woodward, Representative Heather Scott, and Representative Sage Dixon.
